Date Jun. 16, 1988.The invention has as its object a drag anchor which is simple to manufacture and provides an effective grip in the bottom material where the anchor is to be used, besides which the anchor can be executed with a very low weight. The invention, which relates most particularly to a drag anchor, the shank of which is pivotally attached to its part which forms the fluke, is characterized in that its part (2) which forms the fluke consists of a hollow body (2) open at its front and rear end in the direction in which the shank (1) is towed, i.e. the direction of movement of the drag anchor, which body forms a mantle enclosing the rear part of the shank with an extension in the direction of movement of the drag anchor.
