<p>PURPOSE: To easily perform emphasis (modification) for the multi-level picture elements of digitized images at a low cost by using a picture element window to be scanned, that is moved, provided with many picture elements and provided with a center picture element. CONSTITUTION: The multi-level picture element of the digitized image are supplied to the input 6 of a window shift register (3×3 window) 16 and a shift register 12. Then, the output of the register 12 is inputted to the input 8 of the window 16 and the shift register 14 and the output 13 from the register 14 is inputted to the window 16. Then, respective picture element values inside the window 16 are shifted respectively by clock signals, the output is inputted through an annular intermediate value circuit part 18 and a central deviation circuit part 20 to circuits 22 and 24 and the emphasized (modified) picture element D'c of the center picture element Dc , of the window 16 is obtained. Then, the picture element D'c is compared with a threshold value from a memory 111 in a comparator circuit 12, a mark is generated by an imaging device or the like by using the picture element D'c when it is larger or equal and it is not generated when it is smaller. Thus, the digitized image is easily emphasized at a low cost.</p> |
