PURPOSE:To improve the sensitivity, the graininess and the pressure resistance property of the subject material by composing the sensitive material of an emulsion contg. a specified tabular particle. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide emulsion layer contd. in the sensitive material is composed of the emulsion contg. the tabular silver halide particle (A) having a thickness of <0.3mum and a mean aspect ratio of >=5. And, the particle (A) is constituted of a multilayer structural particle contg. a phase of a higher silver iodide content at the outside of the particle, and contains AgI incorporated 0.005-20mol% of iodide (such as KI) based on the total silver halide at a prescribed period in which 5-95mol% of the total particle contg. in the silver halide emulsion is formed. The iodide is preferably incorporated in the particle (A) in such a state that an another halogen ion is not incorporated in the particle, at a prescribed temp. |
