<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the need of a mechanism for introducing one part of a rotary head drum into a cassette mouth part of a tape cassette and to simplify the loading mechanism by inserting the whole drum into the mouth part. CONSTITUTION:When the cassette 10 is mounted on slide frames 24 and 26 and then the frame 24 is moved in the direction A, cassette main bodies 10A and 10B are expanded in accordance with the movement. Simultaneously, by meshing with a rack 24, a reel 12B is rotated via a roller 18 to supply a tape. Then, a main frame 22 is lowered to insert the head drum 40 into the cassette mouth part 10C and moreover a capstan 46 and reels 12A and 12B are inserted with reel bases 50A and 50B. Subsequently, the tape is wound around the drum 40, and a pinch roller 48 is brought into pressurized contact with the capstan 46 so as to carry out the recording and reproducing. By this method, the need of the mechanism for introducing one part of the drum into the mouth part is eliminated, thus simplifying the loading mechanism.</p> |
