<p>PURPOSE:To prevent lack of oxygen at the time of baking and to reduce a leakage current by alternately exposing one end faces of inner electrodes with both end faces of a laminate, and forming a varistor section on a ceramic layer surrounding the inner electrodes. CONSTITUTION:A varistor section 6 is formed at a part surrounding inner electrodes 3 of a ceramic layer 2 and both end faces 4a, 4b of a sintered material 4. The section 6 is formed by diffusing a varistor component having a varistor function in mixture in the electrode 3 and a varistor component coating the ends 4a, 4b in the layer 2 at the time of baking the components. Accordingly, a semiconductor part having no varistor function remains at the center of the layer 2. Thus, lack of oxygen generated at the time of baking is prevented to reduce a leakage current.</p> |
