PROCESS FOR PRODUCTION OF SQUARE PLATE-LIKE CALCIUM CARBONATE

A square plate-like calcium carbonate is produced by the stages of: supplying downward 20-70 vol.% water from the middle injector (2) of a reactor tube in liquid phase, spraying downward solid 5 - 10 wt.% density lime milk in the upper part (4) of reactor, carbonating the lime milk by injecting upward carbon bioxide in the lower part of the reactor tube in liquid phase when accomlishing solid 2 - 3 wt.% density lime milk, recycling the mixture slurry (7) till solid density is 5 - 7 wt.%, collecting the produced calcium carbonate (5).
