PURPOSE: To disinfect fluid supplied to dental operation equipment without using any additional substance by placing specific multiple filter elements for physiologic use along the air line for the dental operation equipment, and irradiating the water supply line with ultraviolet rays. CONSTITUTION: A disinfection unit 10 is placed at an upstream of one or more medical equipment for dental operation equipment 1 or the like. The unit 10 includes multiple filters placed in series along an air supply line 12, and controlled by an intercepting means 6 placed at an upstream of the filters. One filter is of low permeable and is capable of completely removing particles smaller than pathogens in the air, and the other filters remove largest contaminant particles. A water line 11 is dosed by means of 3 with UV light which reaches water without obstruction. UV light modifies nucleic acid, a major constituent of bacteria and virus cells. Thus, the air and water supplied to the operation equipment can be continuously disinfected. |
