PURPOSE:To eliminate the stepwise change of electric characteristic in a multilayered electric contact by reducing the content of nickel in the electric contact point of palladiumnickel alloy formed on a base body continuously from the junction surface with the base body toward the upper surface of the contact. CONSTITUTION:An electric contact point 12 formed on a base body 11 such as a contact spring and a contact is made of an alloy of Pd 13 and Ni 14, in which the content of Ni 14 is reduced from the adhered surface with the base body 11 toward the upper surface, for example, with about 15wt.% near the adhered surface and about 5wt.% on the surface layer part. The content of Ni 14 is increased steplessly from the surface of the electric contact point 12 toward the depth direction. The thus formed electric contact 11 is worn from the surface, but the change in electric characteristic by wear is made stepless. Hence, the stepwise change of the electric characteristic is eliminated, and the fluctuation width is made narrow to improve the reliability. |
