METHOD FOR OBTAINING HIGH PURITY CARBON MANOXICE

A method for separating carbon monoxide from a feed gas comprising CO2, CO and other less adsorbable compounds using at least two adsorption columns in a two stage operation. The first stage uses two columns in a pressure swing adsorption / desorption process to selectively remove carbon dioxide. The second stage uses two adsorption columns pressurized with the prod. gas from the first stage in alternate stages while the other column is purged with a gas less adsorbable than carbon dioxide.
