PURPOSE: To obtain a cosmetic composition for-make up which contains microfine particles of crosslinked poly-β-alanine impregnated with a polyhydric alcohol, prevents skin from drying to improve its flexibility and gives skin good softening action stably without moistening. CONSTITUTION: Microfine particles of crosslinked poly-β-alanine preferably having a diameter of 0.1-7μm are impregnated with a polyhydric alcohol preferably having 2-6 hydroxyl groups and 2-8 carbon atoms, for example, glycerol, sorbitol or the like or a polyether alcohol having an average molecular weight of 150-600 (for example, polyethylene glycol 200 or polyglycerol 500) by 10-600wt.%. A sufficient amount of the impregnated microfine particles are formulated to the usual components usually in an amount of 1-90wt.%, preferably 1-40wt.% based on the whole weight of the composition whereby a cosmetic composition for make-up for lips and skin, for example, eye shadows, cheek rouge, foundation or lip sticks. |
