The apparatus is composed of a transmitter and a receiver. The one transmitter drives only a specified receiver and the receiver can identify the sensor failure in the vehicle as well as the ubnormal state. The preset code signal is transmitted by a custom code switch (CS1) through diodes (D2-3) in the transmitter. The receiver receives the transmitted signal and provides it to a microprocessor (MIC) for comparing the received signal with the preset code and operating the protection function. The microprocessor also checks the infrared sensor (SS) whether it is in normal state or not. If the vehicle is improperly open or the sensor is in failure, the lamp in the display flickers on.
