PURPOSE:To obtain faithful halftone reproducibility and color balance by specifying the leg part photographic gradations of a yellow image, magenta image and cyan image and the balance thereof. CONSTITUTION:The reflection density at respective wavelengths of 450n, 550nm, 700nm prior to development processing of a silver halide color photographic sensitive material contg. yellow, magenta and cyan water soluble dyes in the photograph constituting layers is specified to >=0.8 and the leg part photographic gradations of the yellow image, magenta image and cyan image are respectively specified to >=1.7; further the balances of the leg part photographic gradations are confined respectively within + or -5%. Blurring of the fringe (contours at dots) parts of dots is, therefore, decreased. The halftone qualities of the yellow image, magenta image and cyan image are uniformized in this way and the faithful color balance is obtd.
