ROLLER BEARING FOR EXHAUST GAS TURBINE TYPE SUPERCHARGER

PURPOSE: To eliminate the affect of high temperature with a simple means by forming an outer ring with a single portion, an inner ring with two inner ring portions and constituting the inner ring portion adjacent to high temperature with a highly heat-resistant material. CONSTITUTION: A bearing with two arrays of angular contact balls has an outer ring 1 formed by a single portion. The ball arrays 2 are spaced from each other by a large distance. An expanded inner ring is divided into inner ring portions 3 and 4. These inner rings are hammered onto a shaft 5. The inner ring portion 4 is arranged at the side in an exhaust gas turbine charger where high temperature is produced. That inner ring portion is made of a highly heat-resistant material. In this way, the danger of a breakdown of the bearing is apparently reduced. By means of dividing the inner ring, the other inner ring portion 3 is made of the ordinary cheap roller bearing steel.
