<p>PURPOSE:To improve the workability by securing a light emitting element and a light receiving element to an optical fiber in an insulated container, then connecting the elements with electric contactors penetrating through the insulated container and sealing the joint between an optical signal path and an electric circuitry. CONSTITUTION:A pair of light emitting element, i.e., a LED 11, and a light receiving element, i.e., a photo-diode 14, are connected through an optical fiber 7 with an optical sensor 6 contained in an insulator sensor, and electric contactors 12, 13, 15, 16 are connected with the elements 11, 14 to constitute one detecting unit U1 which is then connected with the other control unit U2. The control unit U2 comprises a starting circuit 17 for driving the LED 11, a power amplifier 18 for amplifying the electrical signal provided from the photo-diode 14, an operating circuit 19 for processing the input signal and a power source equipment 20 for feeding power to the starting circuit 17 and the power amplifier 18, and the control unit U2 is contained in a control box.</p> |
