PURPOSE:To reduce hanging-up of a dot wire to an ink ribbon during printing, and to improve quality and stability by inclining the tip surface of the dot wire in the forward direction to the traveling direction of the ink ribbon. CONSTITUTION:The tip surface of a dot wire 2 is tilted in the forward direction to the traveling direction of an ink ribbon 3, and the ink ribbon 3 is made to travel in the direction of the arrow B. The ink ribbon 3 is struck by the dot wire 2 by a command from a dot impact printer, and printing paper 4 is printed. Even when the dot wire 2 is hung up to the ink ribbon 3 at that time, the tip surface of the dot wire 2 is inclined in the forward direction to the traveling direction of the ink ribbon 3, thus reducing slip-off of the ribbon and the possibility of trouble when the ink ribbon 3 is made to travel. |
