Leg holder for surgical interventions

A leg holder for surgical interventions has a support that can be fixed on an operating table, two retaining elements resting against the leg to be fixed on opposite sides and a drive for leg-fixing adjustment of the two retaining elements. In order to permit injury-free fixation of such a leg holder even over a fairly long period of time without impairing access to the operation field it is proposed that the two retaining elements be flexible tapes which carry on their free ends connecting means for mutually releasable connection, that the tapes be connected by their fixed end to the drive and be adjustable in their effective length by the drive, and that a bearing shell for the leg to be fixed cover the tape ends fixed on the drive.
