The waveguide generates defined electromagnetic fields and consists of a screened, funnel-shaped absorption chamber with a spherical absorption wall (4) and an assymmetric inner conductor (2), leading to terminal resistance material. The spherical absorption wall is directly adjacent to a similarly shaped, conductive housing rear wall (5). The waveguide operation is carried out in a reflection-free radiation coupled manner. The transit paths and time of the outer current path of the inner conductor and of the inner current path are equal. The terminal resistance material (3) forms a surface on the boundary face of the inner conductor and the conductive housing rear wall, possibly with several resistors in parallel. USE/ADVANTAGE - For electromagnetic radiation measuring in aerial calibrations, with homogeneous electro-magnetic field up to highest frequencies.
