PURPOSE:To prevent the elution and erosion of the poker and to retain the quality and characteristic of glass by inserting a heat pipe into a hollow poker and cooling the inside of the poker at the time of melting glass. CONSTITUTION:The hollow poker 3 for glass ceramics made of a Pt-Rh alloy is used, and a heat pipe 5 is inserted into the hollow part 4. The poker 6 is set in a glass melting crucible, the surface of the heat pipe is cooled, hence the outer surface of the poker is cooled, the molten glass in contact with the poker is solidified into a thin film, the outer surface of the poker is protected, and the elution and erosion of the Pt-Rh alloy are prevented. |
