The subject matter of the invention is a safety door-edge construction for power-operated doors, gates or the like. In order to provide a safety door-edge construction which consists of as few individual parts as possible, an inelastic tension element supported with an elastically deformable body is provided as a control element, the body consisting of a profile tube (4) on whose generating line on the door-edge construction side a cable (6) running in the longitudinal direction is arranged as a tension element.
