The axis of movement runs through a point on the inner side of the ski (4) which is relatively far from the ski point (8) and through a point on the outer side of the ski (5) which is nearer to the ski point (8). Thus the pivoting axis (1) is preferably located beneath the hypothetical axis of rotation (6) of the metatarsophalangeal joints, rising towards the outside by an angle between 5 DEG and 20 DEG from the upper surface of the ski.
