PURPOSE:To enable sharp stereoscopy at positions over a wide range without giving high definition to a display medium and a lenticular lens by stacking a lenticular lens plate directly on a thin-film electroluminescence layer. CONSTITUTION:An electroluminescence (EL) display 1 consists of an EL panel formed by laminating a scanning electrode group 4, a thin film EL layer 5, a signal electrode group 6, and a protection layer 7 on an opaque substrate 3 in order. The lenticular lens plate 2 is stacked directly on the side of the protection layer 7 of the display 1. The thickness of the electrode group 6 and protection layer 7 is small enough to ignore as compared with the thickness of the lens plate 2, so a display surface can be formed on the reverse surface of the lens plate 2. While an image signal is applied to the electrode group 6 by a driving circuit, the electrode group 4 is scanned and then the layer 5 emits light to display an image, which is viewed stereoscopically while separated by the lens plate 2 into a left-eye and a right-eye image. Consequently, the sharp stereoscopy is possible at positions over a wide range. |
