PURPOSE:To take a copy efficiently corresponding to a copy mode by selecting the frequency division ratio of a pulse train from a pulse generating circuit matching with the specified copy mode, and controlling driving motors for an optical system, an exposing means, and a transfer means. CONSTITUTION:A control system CONT1 controls the 1st motor M1 for driving the scanning optical system, a control system CONT2 controls the 2nd motor M2 for driving the exposing means, and a control system CONT3 controls the 3rd motor M3 for driving the transfer means. A CPU decides the copy mode specified by a mode setter 19 and also selects the frequency division ratios of frequency dividers 11 and 12 which divides the frequency of the pulse trains of clock generators 10 of the control systems CONT1, CONT2, and CONT3 matching with the specified copy mode. Thus, a process speed is varied corresponding to the copy mode to take a black-and-white and a color copy. |
