This invention relates to an input hopper which transfers cards from a stack for processing. A major problem associated with card feeders is that a card often jams or sticks resulting in possible damage to the system. The system includes an input hopper having a tray housing (22) with a pusher mechanism (30) to push the stack toward a card member picking assembly utilizing a motor (60) and pulley (62) to drive a cam (42) to separate a card from the stack to feed roller (48), (50) for delivery to the processing apparatus.
