PURPOSE:To cancel such trouble that a received paper money can not be returned because the paper money is detected to be two sheets of the paper moneys at the time to return the received paper money by detecting the overlapping of the paper moneys by using a thickness detecting sensor for discrimination and a thickness detecting sensor for return at the time of the discrimination and the reception of the paper money, and in addition, setting the threshold of the thickness detecting sensor at a value by which possibility to decide the presence of the overlapping becomes higher than at the time of the return. CONSTITUTION:At the time of the reception too, the overlapping of two sheet of the paper money is detected by using jointly the thickness detecting sensor 3 for discrimination with the thickness detecting sensor 5 for return. Then, the threshold level of the thickness sensor 5 for return is made to be the threshold level by which the possibility to decide the presence of the overlapping at the time of the reception is higher than at the time to the return at least, i.e., the threshold level of a side to restrict the reception. Thus, the paper money which was decided to be one sheet and was received is always paid as being decided to be one sheet when it is returned as change. |
