POWER UNIT FOR IMAGE RECORDING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To disconnect a power supply path and to prevent a danger by providing the image forming device with a means which disconnects the power supply path to a current detecting circuit and a load and detecting the overcurrent generation in each operation cycle in time series by a CPU which performs sequence control over the image recording device. CONSTITUTION:The power source part 1 of the image recording device normally inputs AC electric power and a transformer 3 outputs a voltage for a power voltage A and a voltage for an IC voltage B. This voltage B for an IC is connected for driving the IC 9 for I/O and CPU 5 and the power voltage A is connected for driving power loads 6 such as a motor through the contact S of a relay 2. Further, those power loads 6 are connected to a drive IC 4 driven under the control of the CPU 5. Then a current is supplied to a coil L through the IC 9 at all times under the control of the CPU 5 to control the loads 6 by the contact S and when a current sensor 7 detects an overcurrent, the abnormality is reported to the CPU 5 and the contact S is broken to cut off the supply of the voltage A to the loads 6.
