Screen for magnetic and electromagnetic fields

In order to screen against magnetic and electromagnetic interference fields, superconducting screening elements are used which cancel the interference field using an opposing field generated in the superconducting layer and so allow complete screening. The screening effect is, in the case of these screening elements, independent of the geometrical design and of the screen thickness as well as of the electrical and magnetic constants of the material. By the method of operation of the screening elements, these elements can be ordered in any desired sequence. The design of the screening elements can be chosen freely.
