PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of a recording layer by pitting corrosion and to obtain the optical recording medium having excellent long-term reliability by forming a protective layer consisting of the electron-ray cued and crosslinked matter of a bisphenol A type epoxy resin compsn. CONSTITUTION:The electron-ray curing type compd. which is heretofore used as the protective layer of the optical recording medium of the conventional embodiment is an acrylate resin compsn. Although this compd. has a protective effect to the flaws and stains from the outside, a sufficient crosslinking density is not obtainable with the cured layer consisting of this acrylate resin compsn. and the layer does not have the sufficient protective power to permeation of water. The protective layer formed by curing and crosslinking the bisphenol A type epoxy resin compsn. which has excellent moistureproofness as the electron-ray curing type compd. is, thereupon, provided, by which the protective layer having the sufficiently high crosslinking density and the excellent moistureproof effect is formed. The increase of the pitting corrosion of the recoding layer after the environmental durability test of the optical recording medium is suppressed. |
