PURPOSE:To reduce switching voltage by enhancing jet efficiency by matching the phase of the memory signal of a recording voltage means with that of the drive signal of a volume changing means so as to emit ink at the max. time of a meniscus. CONSTITUTION:A phase matching means 12 of pulse voltage VA and recording voltage Vp is provided and the rising time of the recording voltage Vp is shifted by t1 in a phase from the pulse voltage VA for a volume varying mechanism 10 by the phase matching means 12 so as to inject charge DELTAq before the meniscus in an ink jet head reaches the max. value. Therefore, the emission of ink is started fast by a time t2 as compared with conventional one and becomes possible at recording voltage VP2 lower than conventional recording voltage VP1. Therefore, jet efficiency is enhanced and switching voltage can be reduced. |
