The aircraft vacuum toilet system has a `grey' water reservoir (62) into which water from the wash basin (40) drains. The water is then pumped to a flushing outlet (138) in the toilet bowl (2). Waste from the bowl (2) discharges into a holding tank (10) by suction generated by the differential between the cabin pressure and the outside ambient. If necessary the differential is boosted by blower unit (12). |
