PURPOSE:To prevent message transmission to a user from being delayed by allowing a person detector to detect a person existing in a prescribed range of a terminal equipment when an incoming message exists and to transmit the existence of the incoming message. CONSTITUTION:When a person exists in a certain range, the person detector 3 generates a signal indicating the existence of a person. A message detector 4 refers a determined storage area in a storage device 5, and at the time of detecting the existence of a message or after operating a message receiving function (controlling device 1) in the terminal equipment, generates a signal indicating the existence of the incoming message. When the two signals exist, a comparing device 2 sends a start signal indicating the existence of the incoming message to an I/O device 6. Since the message transmitting/receiving terminal equipment executes operation based upon the existence of an incoming message when a person exists near the equipment and the incoming message is received, the arrival of the message can be surely informed to a user. |
