<p>A device for assembling furniture or the like includes a main case (10) adapted to be mounted on a base panel (40), a cam (20) rotatably disposed within the main case, and a retaining member. The cam is disposed for eccentric rotation relative to a rotary shaft (21). The retaining member includes at one end a retaining portion adapted to press a work panel against the base panel, and at the other end an engaging portion for slidably engaging a cylindrical outer surface of the cam. Rotation of the cam causes reciprocal movement of the retaining member (30), allowing the retaining portion to engage and disengage the work panel for respectively pressing it against the base panel.</p> |
