发明名称 MANUFACTURE OF OPTICAL FIBER CONNECTING TOOL
摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce the connecting loss of plural optical fibers with an optical fiber connecting tool and inexpensively manufacture the tool by firmly sticking plural glass tubes to a base plate with a photosetting resin applied to one surface by pressing the base plate against the glass tubes after the glass tubes are put in arrayed plural grooves. CONSTITUTION:Glass tubes 3 are respectively put in the plural V-grooves 1 of a jig 2 provided with the V-grooves 1. Then a base plate 5 provided with a photosetting resin 4 applied to one surface is pressed against the glass tubes 3 are and the tubes are firmly stuck to the base plate 5. Thereafter, the resin 4 is hardened by irradiating the base plate 5 with the light of a lamp from the top and the base plate 5 is removed form the jig 2 after the glass tubes 3 are firmly fixed to the base plate 5. Therefore, it becomes unnecessary to form respective grooves in the base plate 5 when the jig 2 provided with the plural arrayed grooves 1 is prepared. Thus the working cost of the base plate 5 can be reduced and, since clad sections of optical fibers are respectively inserted into inner holes of the arrayed glass tubes, the connecting loss of the optical fibers can be reduced.
