<p>PURPOSE:To save the pat of a hosel, which is adjacent to a face, from the hosel and to prevent shank even when a ball is hit near the hosel in a short iron by the thickness of a hosel pocket in an iron club head to be thinner in the short iron and causing the hosel pocket to be deep. CONSTITUTION:A hosel pocket 28 is formed near the neck of a head 12. The hosel pocket 28 is provided on a wall to link a hosel 10, which forms a loft, and a face 14, namely, on a wall 30 to link the hosel 10 from a brade 20. The thickness of the wall for this hosel pocket 28 is made much thinner for the short iron and the hosel pocket 28 is made thin in a face side. Thus, the surface of the wall 30 in the face side of the hosel pocket 20 is made deep and the shank is prevented.</p> |
