<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate disposal and to enhance safety as a food container by applying press molding to water-containing wheat gluten under heating. CONSTITUTION:A predetermined amount of powdery, granular or pasty water- containing wheat gluten with water content of about 5-70wt.% is supplied to a die to be subjected to compression molding under heating and pressure. The temp. at the time of compression molding is about 130-160 deg.C and the pressure is about 100-200kg/cm<2> and the compression time is set to about 1-6min. The fat component in gluten exudes to the surface of gluten by the heating and pressure at the time of compression molding to spread between said gluten and the die and acts as a release agent. Therefore, it is unnecessary to apply the release agent to the die before the supply of gluten. Since the molded body is prepared using wheat gluten as a raw material, said molded body is degraded by bacteria only by embedding the same in soil after use and disposal is easy.</p> |
