PURPOSE:To utilize the large quantity of imaging originals as an electronic mail by automatically extracting title information, which are imaged, and automatically housing the information to a title file. CONSTITUTION:An image bit developing mechanism 4 develops binary compressing data to bit train data reversely to a compressing system. A bit pattern matching mechanism 5 defines the binary bit train pattern of a pattern library group file 10 for mask as a comparing source and defines a binary bit train in the bit pattern matching mechanism 5 as a comparing subject. Then, pattern matching is executed by a number, with which the both comparing source and subject are coincident, and the coincident number in each pattern is calculated as a similar degree. A bit image compressing mechanism 7 scans the binary bit train and compresses the continuous patterns to one pattern. A title file registering mechanism 8 reads the title information, which are converted to compressed binary bit train information, to a title file 11 without being worked and houses the information with adding an index for keeping and managing.
