Surface-mounting wiring device wherein a cover assembly mounted on a base carrying terminal members for covering them has a double structure of an inner cover and an outer decorative cover, the inner cover facing directly the terminal members is provided with heat resistance, and the decorative cover exchangeably fitted over the inner cover is provided with impact resistance, whereby two conditions of the heat and impact resistance are simultaneously satisfied, while the exchangeable decorative cover allows the device to have any desired appearance.
