PURPOSE:To obtain a food useful as animal feed, bait and human feed by utilizing agricultural waste by ground herbal material rich in lignin with a nutrition source to give a medium, cultivating a fungus of mushroom in the medium to give a digested medium and removing a specific smell from the medium. CONSTITUTION:Ground material (preferably 0.15-0.56 bulk specific gravity) of herbal material (e.g., rice hulls or wheat skin) rich in lignin is blended with a nutrition source (e.g., rice bran or bran) to give a medium, a fungus of mushroom (e.g., Flammulina verlutipes) is cultivated in the medium to give a digested medium, form which a specific smell is removed by heating steam at >=95 deg.C to give the aimed food. |
