PURPOSE:To improve the heat resistance, moisture resistance and surface strength of the 2P layers of the optical disk substrate of glass.2P type by specifying the quantity of the C=C double bonds remaining in the 2P of the above- mentioned substrate. CONSTITUTION:The optical disk substrate stripped after irradiation of UV rays is subjected to irradiation of high temp. or microwaves at above the glass transition temp. and below the thermal deterioration temp. to bring the C=C double bonds into reaction. The quantity of the C=C double bonds remaining in the 2P is confined to <=12%. The quantity of the C=C double bonds remaining in the 2P formed on the optical disk substrate is confined to <=12% in such a manner, by which the heat resistance, moisture resistance and surface hardness of the 2P layers are greatly improved. |
