PURPOSE:To generate an output sound artificially by varying the contents of reverberations, e.g. the continuance of reverberations or the number of reverberations per unit time according to the number of musical sounds. CONSTITUTION:A tone generator 3 generates a musical sound signal based upon various supplied signals and data and a musical sound generation system for 16 channel is constituted by time division processing, thereby generating musical sound signals of up to 16 sounds. The musical sound signal is given reverberation effect by musical instrument reverberation parts 4 and 5 according to reverberations characteristic to musical instruments themselves, i.e. the number of musical sounds generated at the same time. Therefore, the reverberation contents, e.g. reverberation time indicating the continuance of reverberations and reverberation density indicating the number of reverberations per unit time are variable. Consequently, the sound generated when plural musical sounds are generated at the same time can be generated artificially. |
