PURPOSE:To realize a compact and light synchronizer ring, to lower a cost and to make a transmission compact by making the width to an axial direction of the synchronizer ring for an end step gear smaller than the width to an axial direction of the synchronizer ring for an intermediate step gear. CONSTITUTION:The width to an axial direction of a synchronizer ring for the end step gear of synchronous engaging devices respectively provides at both the sides of a single synchronizer sleeve is made smaller than the width to an axial direction of a synchronizer ring for an intermediate step gear. Name ly, since the synchronizer ring 50 for a three speed gear is used for shift up or shift down, it requires a durability. since four speed a synchronizer ring 48 for a four speed gear is used only for the shift up, the durability is not required. Accordingly, the ring 48 which is the synchronizer ring for the end step gear of the synchronous engaging device 34 has the width A to an axial direction made snasmaller than the width B to an axial direction of the ring 50 which is the synchronizer ring for the intermediate step gear. In such a way, the ring 48 can be made compact, light, a cost can be lowered and a transmission can be made compact. |
