PURPOSE:To improve the sensitivity and the potential stability of the subject body, and to make the picture quality of the sensitive body high by specifying an ion content contd. in a coating solution which forms a charge generating layer, to less than a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:The sensitive body is composed by laminating a charge generating layer 2 and a charge transfer layer 3 on a conductive substrate 1, if necessary, through an under coating layer 4 in this order or an reverse order. The layer 2 is formed by applying a dispersing solution contg. a charge generating substance such as a dibrom autoantorone pigment and a binding resin such as polyvinyl butyral on the substrate, and an iron is incorporated in the dispersing solution as contaminants in an amount of less than 130ppm on the basis of total solid matter of the dispersing solution. The iron is removed by subjecting the dispersing solution to centrifugal separation and pressure filtration. The layer 3 is composed of a charge transfer substance and a resin having film formable property. |
