PURPOSE:To output characters of two or more colors uniformly by providing an output means for outputting dots of two or more colors based on image data stored in a memory and a processing means for applying a dot information conversion processing different for every color. CONSTITUTION:In a dot font ROM 3 provided with character data individually for every color, character patterns are stored in the form of dot data. Because a blue is visually more expanded than a yellow in the printing on white paper with a printer, the character patterns of a yellow font are stored heavier in weight than those of a blue font so that both the patterns can visually have the same size when being printed. Then, an arithmetic control part 2a of an image processor 2 decodes character code information transmitted from a host computer 1, reads character data from the dot font ROM 3 corresponding to the character code, and writes the same to a predetermined address of a page memory 2b. After the completion of the writing of an image for one page, an I/F control part 2c outputs image data from the page memory 2b according to the I/F system of a printer 4. Therefore, characters of any color can be outputted uniformly. |
