发明名称 OPTICAL INFORMATION RECORDING METHOD
摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the S/N of a reading out signal by depositing a thin dye film layer consisting of a cyanine dye and/or merocyanine dye and having a bronze luster on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:The thin dye film layer having the bronze luster is formed by coating the substrate with a soln. prepd. by dissolving the cyanine dye and/or merocyanine dye in an org. solvent. The bronze luster refers to the metallike reflection which the dye exhibits in a specific light wavelength region. In actuality, the luster having >=20% reflectivity to the laser wavelength used for writing and reading is adequate and particularly the luster having >=30% reflectivity is more preferable. Although the bronze luster has the specific coloration, the high reflectivity to the wavelength of the laser light for recording and reproducing can be provided thereto. The quantity of the light to read out the information is increased in this way and the S/N of the reading out signal is improved.
