PURPOSE:To obtain the title sheet generating no strain in a projected image by constituting said sheet of a dye accepting layer, a base material for supporting said layer and the resin layer low in a heat-shrinkage factor provided between them and/or on the rear side of said base material. CONSTITUTION:A thermal transfer sheet 1 is obtained by providing an accepting layer 3 to the single surface of a base material 2 and providing a resin layer 5 low in a heat-shrinkage factor to the opposite surface thereof through a primer layer 4 and, as the base material 2, a film or sheet composed of plastic or synthetic paper is used and, as the material quality of the accepting layer 3, any one accepting the image of a dye transferred from a thermal transfer sheet and capable of keeping the formed image is designated and polyester or polyurethene is used. The resin layer 5 low in a heat-shrinkage factor is composed of a heat-resistant or semi-heat-resistant resin having a heat-shrinkage factor of -1.0-1.5% and, as this resin, a polyacrylic resin or polyurethane is designated and, as the resin constituting the primer layer 4, polyurethane or polyacrylic resin is designated. As a result, the thermal transfer sheet generating no strain or color shift is obtained. |
