PURPOSE:To lower image forming cost by reusing a plate drum on which an ink image is formed. CONSTITUTION:The reflected light from a manuscript is detected by a photodetector 68 through a lens assembly 60 and the blue filter of a filter means 67 to be subjected to image processing by an image processing means 70 and, on the basis of the image processing signal from said means 70, the negative image of the manuscript is formed to the surface of a plate drum 4 by the water ejected from the nozzle 20 of a water jet means 6. Next, yellow ink is supplied from an ink supply means 8 to form the image due to the yellow ink on the surface of the plate drum 4. Subsequently, said image is transferred to the peripheral surface of a blanket roller 10 rotating in the direction shown by an arrow to be transferred to the sheet member fed between the blanket roller 10 and a press roller 42. After the image is transferred, the surface of the plate drum 4 is cleaned by a cleaning means 12 and dried by a drying means 16 to be reused. |
