PURPOSE:To prevent the non-coincidence of paper by mounting a paper kind judge means, which judges whether the kind of paper read by a paper kind reading means coincides with the kind of paper registered in a paper register means, and a display means. CONSTITUTION:A printer 1 is connected as one terminal of a computer and, when paper kind registering indication is issued, a paper kind register means 4 receives paper kind data from a program to register the same in a paper kind memory device 2. Next, when paper kind reading indication is issued, a paper kind reading means 5 delivers the kind of paper to a paper kind judge means 6 which in turn compares the read kind of paper with the kind of paper registered in the paper kind memory device 2 and judges whether or not the kinds of both papers coincide with each other to output a result. A display device 3 displays whether or not the kind of paper set to the printer 1 coincides with that of paper scheduled by the program of the computer. Therefore, it is eliminated that the paper desired to be printed by the program does not coincide with manually set paper. |
