PURPOSE:To reproduce an ink sheet after an image is formed by a thermal transfer method and thereby to enable attainment of an excellent image, by using powder ink formed of an internal core containing carbon black, wax and further compatible thermoplastic resin and of a shell of resin having the carbon black dispersed therein. CONSTITUTION:Carbon black is added to powder ink so that volume resistivity be 10<8>OMEGA.cm or below and that the volume resistivity of a reproduced ink layer be 10<7>OMEGA.cm or below. An ink sheet 1 having an ink layer 3 is moved onto an insulative supporting body 2 and an image is formed on a recording medium 7 by a thermal head 5. When a bias voltage is impressed between an electrode 10 and a conductive roller 12 and the powder ink 11 is supplied, the ink sticks electrostatically on the ink sheet since an exfoliating part 8 of the ink layer shows an insulating property, and it is fixed on the ink sheet by a fixing means 14. |
