PURPOSE:To enable a service engineer to diagnose the trouble in a control room, etc., of a plant by connecting a host computer to a numerical controller via a network and down-loading a trouble diagnosing program into the numerical controller from the host computer to diagnose the trouble of the numerical controller. CONSTITUTION:When the numerical controllers 20-40 have troubles, the host computer 10 down-loads a trouble diagnosing program into the corresponding numerical controller. Then the data necessary for diagnosis are transferred to the computer 10. A service engineer confirms those data on the screen of the computer 10 to diagnose the trouble and requests the transfer of special data as necessary. |
