PURPOSE:To make the circuit size small by returning a data of a noted picture element subject to filter processing to a line memory of the preceding line of the noted picture element and a preceding delay circuit of the line of the noted picture element. CONSTITUTION:A picture processing circuit 11 forms a 2X2 spatial filter using a line buffer 12 and delay circuits 13, 14 so as to process picture element data c, d to be picture element data of the present line and picture element data a, b to be picture element data of the preceding line and applies filter processing to the picture element data (d) as the noted picture element and outputs the processing picture data (d). The picture element data (c) of the present line outputted from the delay circuit 14 and the picture element data b, a of the preceding line outputted from the line buffer 12 and the delay circuit 13 are processed data subject to filter processing by the picture processing circuit 11. Thus, the processing function of a large spatial filter is provided for the small spatial filter and the circuit scale is made small. |
