PURPOSE:To access a floppy disk at high speed by exciting an excitation phase in a direction opposite to the excitation phase of a stepping motor which is excited when a head arrives at a target track. CONSTITUTION:When the head arrives at the target track, the excitation phase in the direction opposite to the excitation phase of the excited stepping motor 4 is excited. Namely, when the head moves in the outer peripheral direction of the floppy disk and arrives at the track of an address '00', a detection signal 5 becomes at high level and an output signal 9a from an AND gate 9 allows the excitation phase of the stepping motor 4 to be excited in an opposite direction with the excitation control signal 2a of a control circuit 2 and an output signal 8a from a monostable multivibrator 8. Thus, a brake works to the stepping motor 4 and the floppy disk can be accessed at high speed even in the case that a settling time is short. |
